A Look at Brooks Adams Research’s Online Panel

An online survey panel is a pre-recruited pool of respondents who have, in principle, agreed to give you feedback about your business processes, products, services, etc. Panel members are compensated to participate. Therefore, response rates are quite high and results can be obtained very quickly. Panel members can be from a lead base specific to your company or can come from our already existing pool of panelists.

Brooks Adams Research’s (BAR’s) online consumer survey panel consists of 130,000+ people from all over the United States as well as a smaller group of participants from other nations throughout the world. Using the existing pool of panelists, BAR can design and program a unique survey and invite specific people based on their demographics and information. This works because our pool consists of people who differ in age, gender, country of residence, income, job title, industry, etc. For example, a senior living organization might choose to target adult children, caregivers, CEOs of retirement communities, Administrators or Marketing Directors. Due to the specific information that BAR has about panel participants, surveyors can target particular demographics as needed per survey

Here is a snapshot of BAR’s panel demographics:

COUNTRY

  • bullet71% United States
  • bullet10% Canada
  • bullet8% UK
  • bullet2% Australia
  • bullet9% Other

  • bullet40,300 people ages 20-29
  • bullet35,100 people ages 30-39
  • bullet23,400 people ages 40-49

HOME OWNERSHIP

There are many advantages to using an online panel. First and foremost, you can obtain quick answers because collecting information on line is fast and the format of the survey is very user-friendly for participants. From the time a survey is implemented to the time you have your first completed survey is usually only minutes, sometimes only seconds. You can view your results as they are collected in real time, watch live graphs and charts, and then dig down to get individual responses. You can also securely share your survey results with others. BAR can recruit online focus groups, which allows you to get more in-depth information about pricing, floor plan design and ad perception. Lastly, it is easy to get live answers from people who represent specific groups, which takes the guesswork out of understanding what people think.
