Leadership Spotlight:
Beth Simos, VP, SB&A
Beth Simos has more than 17 years of strategic marketing and communications experience in both the private and public sectors. Her experience includes health care, senior living, retail, insurance and tourism. Prior to joining SB&A, Beth served as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Virginia Health Quality Center as well as the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. She also held the position of Director of Marketing and Public Relations with Columbia/HCACJW, in addition to spending time as an Account Director at BrannRMG and an Account Manager at The Martin Agency.
Beth offers expertise in a wide variety of disciplines, including advertising, branding, communications, direct marketing, strategic market planning and public relations. In addition to her more than 17 years of experience in both agency and corporate environments, Beth is a Certified Direct Marketer and holds both a BBA in Marketing and an AAS in Management from Marshall University.
As Vice President of SB&A, Beth is part of the company’s five-person executive team. Beth is responsible for overseeing Agency operations. In addition to managing human resource components, Beth designs and implements policies, procedures, organization and systems that increase the efficiency and capacity of the Agency. As a Certified Direct Marketer, Beth also brings the knowledge of database and direct marketing programs for lead generation, acquisition, retention and customer loyalty.
Outside of SB&A, Beth is a member of the national and Richmond chapters of the American Marketing Association. While she served as Director of Marketing at the Richmond Chamber she participated in the development of the Richmond is “Easy to Love” campaign, which was the recipient of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Award of Communications Excellence in 2003. As a result of this achievement, she served as Committee Chairman for the ACCE Award of Communications Excellence in 2003 and 2004.
Beth is originally a native of Huntington, West Virginia, but has lived in Richmond, Virginia for the past 15 years. She currently resides in Richmond with her husband Greg and her 15-month-old daughter Eva. Her interests include travel and outdoor activities.
